Our Focus

The Livability Agenda
Fort Collins, CO fountain

Good Jobs and a Stronger Economy

At CSE we believe that businesses create jobs, not the government and that businesses create jobs when taxes and fees are low and government interference and regulations are limited. The role of government is not to pick winners and losers in the economy.

Lower Taxes, Reduced Fees

At CSE we believe that every dollar taken from citizens and businesses in the form of onerous taxes and fees is a dollar better spent on creating economic opportunity and providing greater financial security for individuals and families.

Smaller, Less Intrusive Local Government

Through tough economic times, Fort Collins has weathered the storm. Now it’s our time to help families who are working hard but still living paycheck-to-paycheck.

Local government is too large and has too much control over families and businesses, enacting petty regulations and mandates. At CSE we believe that the power and reach of government should be limited and that citizens should have the freedom to choose how they live their lives and spend their money.

Shorter Commutes, Safer Roadways

Traffic congestion has a negative effect on the quality of life in our communities. It reduces the amount of time people can spend with their families, and it inhibits the ability of businesses to attract customers or get their goods to market. At CSE we believe that investments in road maintenance and safer intersections are a core function of local government and must be a priority.

Property Rights of Landowners

Too often, local government ignores or infringes upon the private property rights of landowners. Northern Colorado landowners need an advocate to push back against onerous land use regulations. Landowners should have the ability to utilize their property as they see fit.
